Planning your studies
The colleges listed on Cape Town College all offer courses designed for either full-time, part-time, or distance learning. Students who study full-time or part-time normally attend classes and are assessed regularly in the form of class tests, practical demonstrations and exams, whereas distance learning students study on their own and at their own pace, completing assignments and exams when it suits them best.
When deciding on a college that would suit you best, you need to keep the above-mentioned factors in mind. It goes without saying that when you enrol for a course that requires you to attend classes, you need to be near that particular campus to do so, whereas if you’re studying via distance learning, the location of that college or institution is not really of great importance, as all communication and assessment is done via postal or electronic mail.
